How the detector works
Every WordPress site loads its theme's files from a folder under /wp-content/themes/. The detector fetches the homepage you enter, finds that folder, and reads the theme's style.css header, which is where WordPress themes declare their name, author, version and parent theme.
It also looks for plugin files under /wp-content/plugins/, signs of page builders such as Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Beaver Builder and WPBakery, and whether WooCommerce is active.
Found the theme? Here's the catch
Buying the same theme rarely gets you the same site. Most good-looking WordPress sites are heavily customised, and many run a custom theme built for that business. If you want a site that's fast, easy to edit and made for your content, that's the work I do.

How can I tell what WordPress theme a site is using?
Paste the site's address into the detector above. It reads the page's source, finds the active theme folder under /wp-content/themes/, then reads that theme's style.css header for its name, author and version. You can do the same by hand: view the page source and search for wp-content/themes.
Can this detect a custom or renamed theme?
It shows whatever the theme declares. Custom themes often have a client or agency name, and some sites rename or strip the style.css header, in which case only the folder name is shown.
How do you detect plugins?
Plugins that load files on the page leave paths such as /wp-content/plugins/plugin-name/ in the HTML. The detector lists those. Plugins that only run in the admin or on other pages will not appear.
Why does it say the site is not WordPress?
Either the site isn't built on WordPress, it's a headless build where WordPress sits behind a separate front end, or its security setup blocks automated requests.
